The scan shows six puppies each!  We're in shock! Imagining four each would show on the scan, we we unprepared for twelve pups on the way!

August 2009

Flame and Magic have been bred.  Flame to Alfie and Magic to Widget.  Puppies are due mid to end October.

April 2009

Molly is runner up Veteran Shar Pei of The Year.

March 2009

Molly wins 1st Veteran Bitch at Crufts.  Jazzie puts in a sound performance with a 4th in Post Graduate Bitch after only a handful of shows.

January 2009

Fendi - Sissy's pup came home after five years.  Sadly her owner had been battling cancer for the past couple of years and could no longer keep Fendi.  Our puppy sale contracts always state that, if for any reason you are unable to keep the dog, it MUST come back to us - it cannot be sold or passed on.  Fendi is a real character and has settled well.  When I bred Fendi, I planned to keep her and named her Fendi, her owner kept the name.  My other Fendi was from my next litter, so life does get complicated with two Fendis in the house!  Although I'm meant to be looking for a forever home for Fen 1 as we now call her, I've grown really attached and love the bones of the little dog.  It will be a very special person who does get Fen 1 because I couldn't part with her for anything less!

Rescues and Foster kids

In 2007/8 we successfully fostered four Shar Pei.  Phoebe, Alfie, Max and Blue have all gone off to their new forever homes.  Rescue can be heartbreaking work but we continue to rescue and foster those with nowhere else to go.  All of our dogs live in the house so taking in a waif or stray is never easy but when we finally settle them with their new owners, all the hard work is always worth it.

June 2008

Todd has gained his second Challenge Certificate under judge Gerald Mitchell at Border Union.  Todd also took Best of Breed.  A big thank you to the judge and to all the well wishers who have supported and congratulated us.

Scarf wins 3rd place in AV puppy at a fun show!  Way to go Scarf.

Jazz's puppies to Ice are due this week.  The poor lamb is huge, and we are even considering fitting a skateboard to her underside to help out!  Check back soon for pics of the new arrivals.

Flame qualifies for Crufts.  My baby qualified for Crufts at the SPCGB Club Show even though she played me up mercilessly! The little minx!

Todd - Chifido All Flash No Cash takes the Reserve Challenge Certificate under breed specialist Sue Medhurst - Samsara.  Todd now has 1 CC and 2 RCCs.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Chifido Show Me The Yen (Yen) owned by Ann Clarke-Ward who has achieved the KC Good Citizen Gold Award.  Yen and Ann have worked incredibly hard to gain this accolade.  Not normally the easiest dog to train, it just goes to show, with patience and dedication it can be done!  Well done Ann!
