Now a grand old man of eight years-old, Todd has now all but retired
from the show ring. He lives a comfortable life with this mum and
sister, spending most of his days in the library, often reclining in a
wing back chair! Todd won his first CC under Zena Thorne Andrews
at Three Counties and his second at
Border Union where he also went BOB under judge Gerald Mitchell. During
his fabulous show career Todd won two CCs, two RCCs and Shar Pei of the Year 2006. Sadly Todd didn't win the championship title
we always felt he deserved although we
remain incredibly proud of our boy. Outside of the ring Todd is a real
clown. Appearing aloof on the outside, he's a real loon on the
inside and has a sweet and gentle nature with all those he knows
and loves. Recently he's matured into the role of
chief protector and patrols the front of the house looking quite
intimidating, keeping would-be intruders at bay.

Ice is a
real softie. After a brilliant start
to the year in 2006, with 1st Special Junior Dog and Reserve Best Dog at Crufts, Ice lost his confidence. A short spell away from
home appears to have completely unsettled him and we had to work hard to
bring back the confident carefree little man we had at the beginning of
his show career. Progress was slow but each time we went into
the ring Ice seemed more at ease. Ice was awarded a Highly Commended in Open Dog at Crufts 2008! A very well made dog, Ice
moves beautifully.
Ice has now retired from showing but is available at
stud to approved bitches.

Alfie came to Chifido after going slightly off
the rails during his teenage stage of growing up. Alfie had
ideas above his station but lacked any real confidence making
him a difficult and unpredictable chap when we first met. Many
months of patience, understanding and then reward-based,
positive training turned Alfie from a problem child into a
superstar. In just six months of showing Alfie achieved
his stud book number, a RCC and two reserve best dog awards,
plus numerous class wins.
Alfie is a red fawn brushcoat with excellent
pigment, harsh coat, perfect bite and handsome head. He has
untouched eyes. And he has a wonderful temperament!

Fidget
is our youngest to make their debut in the show ring. At
just six months of age, he was 1st Puppy Dog and awarded Best
Pup in Breed at Boston and District CS under breed specialist
Judie Rowlands. Fidget is a red fawn brushcoat with good bone who
moves freely. Affectionately known as the Thug, Fidget is
very much a boisterous puppy, full of life and energy. We
hope to be able to channel that energy positively in the show
ring.

Dude,
litter brother of Fidget, is a lively, athletic puppy who spends
much of his day looking for trouble to get into. Already an
accomplished escape artist, Dude has shown his athleticism by
jumping fences and into large flower pots designed to be dog
proof! Beautifully put together, Dude is a lighter build than
Fidget and more of the style of his uncle Alfie. And, like his
uncle Alfie, Dude is likely to be a slow developer and not
expected to come into his own until he reaches two years of age
or so. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will campaign Dude as a
puppy, concentrating instead on Fidget as we wait for Dude to
catch up.

Widget is our big old softie and a proven
producer of quality puppies. A lovely square compact dog with plenty
of bone and excellent pigment and movement. Widget has a harsh
coat and a temperament to die for. He doesn't have a bad bone in
him and is so patient with his lads. Widget lives with Magic and
their boys Fidget and Dude.

Dave is our black horsecoat dynamo. Dave doesn't
do any speed other than full on at 100 mph. His athletic build
of solid muscle and bone is achieved by spending his days
chasing next door's cat and any bird that flies into his air
space. Dave is a sweet natured chap but has a mind of his own
and is adept at feigning deafness - particularly if you are
trying to get him to come in from the garden.
Dave has the harshest of coats, excellent pigment
and a sweet nature. He is, we feel, a useful addition for our future
breeding programme.

Reggie is one of our baby boys at just over a
year old. A lovely and very typey red brushcoat with
excellent conformation, Reggie is a happy, chap who spends most
of his time running with Dolly and our Collie, Scooter, or
playing with his vast toy box of soft toys. Reg can often be
found turning his toys out until he finds exactly the one he is
looking for.
Reggie has a great pedigree with health and good
looks behind him and is a valuable addition to Chifido.
